Yes, first of all, YES.
Because it is a positive word; and because, I don’t remember where, I read that when you write something the very first word is always very important; and YES, because it is one of my favorite words.
I was also thinking of starting my presentation with “I do not know how the others are, but me…” This is actually a phrase that marked my childhood, it was used by Ion Creanga in his writings, and even if there is a very small chance that you might know that (if not Romanian), I prefer not to plagiarize.
I do not think that originality it’s a “must” because I really believe that good stuff won their right to be copied, and a copy it is not necessarily a bad thing; and certainly we must not swallow all kind of nonsense just because they are “original”! (I’ve seen some “original” bullshit!)
…Sometimes I think that I am original; this is because “new stuff” cross trough my head. Unfortunately they are new for my mind only… so then, I get back to Earth and write theories about “no need to be original”…
And second of all, I did not use this phrase as a beginning because it starts with a negation. And even more, with me admitting from the start that actually I do not know that much. I am not saying that I know, but I do my best for finding out.
How the others are, I really can’t know for real. And I do not have the time to check out. It is taking me quite a lot of precious time to discover things about my own selfish self.
And because I am not discovering myself neither by ascetic meditation nor isolation, the evolution of the self-discovery it is done by the encounter with the others, and actually by discovering “them” first. Guess this makes me an “open” mind/person.
I love the sun. And colors blue and yellow - this is probably the reason why I eat soooo much green salad! I stopped smoking six years ago and it was a very easy thing to do; I rediscovered not long ago the pleasure of drinking coffee and I love it; again!
Depending of the language that I write or speak in, my humor is different (this phrase sounds like I am speaking at least a dozen, but I manage to make myself understood only in three – Romanian-native one, English-loved one, and French-hard one).
I was born in Romania and I live in Paris. LOVE brought me here. And I am really happy that I was smart enough to listen to my Heart.
I never intended to leave my country, this was the dream of my best friend, Roxy, but somehow it was always a kind of “her dreams came true for me!” So that is why now I regularly check with her what her hopes and dreams are, in order to know a little bit about my future.
Sadly enough it does not work both ways, what I wish does not come true for her… It might be because she is a better friend than I am...
I am lucky to have found the passion in life; mine is called THEATER / ACTING.
I travel a lot with my husband; thanks to the traveling I got to go to New York, the one place I always dreamed to see, for who knows what “other life” reason.
Mostly we traveled in Asia and I can loudly declare my undeniable love for Japan!
And traveling led me to writing. One “artistic inclination” lead to another.
Still working on this last one. While traveling, of course.
